The Lynbrook Fire Department’s drill team, The Tumblers, had a great 2009 tournament season finishing second in total points in old fashion competition in Nassau County.  The team received their second place trophy at the Nassau County Drill Team Captain’s Association dinner in November. 

The top five teams for the 2009 old fashion tournament season were:  Rockville Centre, Lynbrook, Bellmore, Garden City Park, and Plainview. 

Besides the second place overall honors the team took home a first place trophy for the best Running Ladder team for the year, and a first place trophy in Efficiency competition, tying with Rockville Centre for this award.
